INVITE BIRDS TO YOUR BACKYARD |
|
One of the best ways to control insects naturally is by attracting birds to your backyard.
The Upper Huerfano Conservation District is making birdhouses available to property owners in Huerfano County and the surrounding area for a $10 donation each. These birdhouses are built in the Walsenburg area and have a natural finish that weathers beautifully. The opening is 1 1/2 inches in diameter, ideal for bluebirds and other song birds.
Not only are birds great for insect control, they are a welcome addition to the wildlife in our area.
